The 2017 Sori Bricco Cabernet Sauvignon opens with dark fruit fragrances of cherry, currant, and blackberry along with subtle elements of earth, mineral, and graphite. Upon entry, flavors of rose petal, raspberry and red currant combine with floral elements and hints of wet stone. With its full mouthfeel and firm structure, this wine will evolve beautifully over time.
High in the hills of Diamond Mountain, Sori Bricco spans two hillsides with different sun exposures resulting in separate harvest dates across the ranch. The soil is composed of a sandy, gravelly loam and the vines tend to be very small as they struggle against the slopes. The climate is warm in the early spring and these vines are among the first to bud each year. Warm summer months produce nice flavors, while cooler nights offer long hang time to gain tannin maturity each season.
