From the tropical perfume to the fleshy stone fruit palate and clean, citrusy finish, this second vintage of Bella Union Sauvignon Blanc offers delicious layers of aromatics, color, texture and flavor. Lovely notes of pineapple, white peach and fresh citrus open onto a palate that offers creaminess and complexity. Bright acidity adds a mouthwatering juiciness to the wine while cool mineral accents lift the finish.
Vineyard Notes
Stretching across the renowned Rutherford Bench, DeCarle Vineyard’s Sauvignon Blanc blocks are situated at the toe of an alluvial fan that extends from the western Mayacamas range. Comprised of fluvial river deposits and gravelly clay from the Bale soil series, these well-draining, structured soils combined with the upper Napa Valley’s warm, sunny climate give us Sauvignon Blanc with vibrant acidity, flinty minerality and ripe stone-fruit and tropical flavors.
