Tasting Notes
An alluring perfume of mango and fresh gardenia with whispers of candied citrus rind and spices open onto a round, full palate layered with fresh citrus and stone fruit flavors. Bright acidity provides structure and a mouthwatering juiciness and the finish has a captivating briny minerality that will make it a delight with fish, oysters and seafood.
Vineyard Notes
Abundant rainfall kicked off the 2019 growing season, leaving the soils loaded with moisture heading into spring. Cool, mild spring conditions continued after budbreak with light rains in May, just enough to keep soils moist without adversely affecting fruit set. Summer came on slowly, with warm, moderate weather. Veraison started in late July followed by a month of steady ripening that was punctuated by a short heat spike in mid-August. Harvest began just after Labor Day, with all of the Chardonnay coming into the winery possessing balanced ripeness and fresh acidity.
